This is a cool design .. done for an elementary school’s 5th grade class. It is on a gildan 5000 charcoal tshirt with a red, white and black screen printed imprint.

Our typical turnaround is about 3-4 days but this was a special deal because things just “got behind” and our client’s client was panicking about getting these in time for their Christmas Party. Ooops, it was a school party … hopefully it is still a Christmas Party. Personally, I think it is a bunch of hoo haw about not referring to it as a Christmas Party. Holiday Party? I mean who doesn’t know that most of us celebrate Christmas and it will always be Christmas. (sorry, mini rant)

Back to business — youthgrouptshirts is owned by RRV Designs Inc. DBA Red Roof Ventures (man that is a mouthful). We are a family owned and run business located in Pilot Point, Texas. Pilot Point is located about 50 miles north of the metroplex. The business is situated on 10 beautiful acres and equipped with the latest and greatest automated presses.

We have been screen printing since the early 80′s and I (Wayne Gooden) have been involved in the printing industry since … well, High School. Enough said … it has been a long time. We believe in old school screen printing and probably will not ever go to direct to garment digital printing.

I personally don’t think it looks good and plus it takes way too long to produce one shirt. Whereas we can print up to 300-400 shirts a hour on one press … a digital direct takes probably 5 minutes to produce ONE shirt. I guess is that is all you want … that would be cool. My customers want way more than one.

We screen print on a variety of brands of tshirts — Gildan, Anvil, American Apparel and sometimes — Hanes, Fruit of the Loom and then Jerzees. We like to print on 100% cotton because sometime the design will call for discharge or water based inks. So … we need the cotton shirts to produce that. Along with tshirts … we print hoodies, sweatshirts, dry fit, polos, long sleeve, jerseys and well … anything else that has to do with textiles.

As you see we primarily print tshirts for groups. Church groups, school groups and of course … youth groups. I spent a number of years of my career as a youth pastor and senior pastor … so, I know my way around church … as well as a screen printing squeegee.

Please take the time to look around at the other 700+ designs on our flickr photostream.

Shalom
