Christian MMA Clothes Are Finding an Audience

There is no bigger or faster growing sport today than the fighting discipline of Mixed Martial Arts, also known as MMA. With celebrities like Brock Lesnar, Randy Couture and Anderson Silva, MMA is drawing more and more people to an already large audience. With momentum that has nearly bankrupted professional boxing, MMA is set to displace many American Past times on its rise in popularity.

Given that Christians. of one denomination or another comprise much of the population of the United States it is not difficult to see how the MMA
market would encompass any fights fans that are Christian. Not to mention, the tough guy image of many MMA fighters is a draw to just about any person who views them self as tough, but many Christians like the image of toughness, but without the connotations that frequently go with the image.

For instance, some MMA fighters enjoy hanging out at the Playboy Mansion, and many men can understand that that behavior tends to line up with eh image of a tough fighter. But, because that image is lined up with a certain sector of the sex trade most Christian would not tend to be willing to wear it.

Other behaviors that may alienate more conservative people in our society are drug use and abuse. Many MMA fighters are extremely disciplined with a workout regime that would exhaust just about anyone, so the use of steroids and other illegal drugs is commonplace. As with many sports most MMA companies are diligently trying to weed out the drug users and abusers but it tends to be more difficult than most people think. Most Christians would tend to shy away from wearing clothes that depicted any obvious sexual or drug oriented portrayal.

There are many fighters, especially in the UFC, who are devout and dedicated Christians and if does show in their behavior and clothing. Fighters
such as Matt Hughes, Quenton Jackson and Wanderlei Silva are all dedicated Christians and any of their fans would enjoy having clothes featuring them.
